Skyrim Horker Stew Recipe
For anyone who’s cooked up food while playing the game, Skyrim, you’ve probably whipped up a batch or 2 of horker stew, since it’s a recipe that’s actually worthwhile to make given its effects. This in game recipe requires 4 ingredients; lavender, tomato, garlic, and horker meat. Upon consumption, horker stew restores 15 health and 15 stamina, and restores 1 health per second for 720 seconds. I’ll be honest, I don’t eat a lot of stew. With its tomatoes and lavender though, this recipe had me intrigued and I wanted to replicate it in real life. Keep reading to see what I came up with!

*Horkers are sea animals that reside in colder environments. Their diets consist of sea creatures, such as clams. I would consider their closest ‘real-life counterpart’ to be the walrus. Walrus is not easily acquirable where I live, so I substituted beef stew meat for my horker/walrus.
**I used russet potatoes. If you like sweet potatoes, or are feeling adventurous, try them instead. They make a fun combination with the chosen spices, but they do soften quicker.
Cooking Instructions:
1. Chop and dice your ingredients, including meat, carrots, potatoes, garlic, and onion. Add to crock pot.
2. Add your tomatoes and beef broth.ā

3. Stir in the remaining spice ingredients.
4. Set your crockpot to low for 6 hours. Stir every few hours if home. If the stew isn’t thickening to your level of preference after 4 hours, add in some cornstarch.

Do enjoy it!! š
I’ve always wanted to know what it tastes like. And my friend just showed me this and my jaw just DROPPED! You’ve made me a happy person!
That’s awesome Jason! My mission’s been accomplished š
Enjoy.
Did you use powdered lavender or lavender flowers? Thank you!
Hi Rachel, thank you for asking and sorry for not making this clear. You could technically use either. I’d probably recommend the powder, since it’s generally easier to find in stores.
Have fun cooking and let me know how it turns out!
Thanks so much!
Absolutely!
You say Walrus isn’t easily acquirable but you could at least have made an effort.
How do you know I didn’t?
Awesome recipe! I made this today. Used chicken instead of beef, super yummy. I know this is from 7 years ago, but Iād still love it if you did more Skyrim recipes! Maybe sweet rolls!
That does sound yummy with chicken too! Thank for dropping the comment and leaving a suggestion. I could go for some sweet rolls right about now š
