You can choose to make your game single-themed or multi-fandom themed. I initially was going to go with a multi-theme (choosing 4 characters from 6 fandoms each), but ultimately decided to pick Harry Potter due to it’s rich character options. Remember, the goal is to guess which character your opponent has. Your selection of 24 faces should include a nicely mixed group of characters that contain both similar and dissimilar features and characteristics.

For my character set I have a good mix of males vs females, humans vs non-humans, and “good” vs. “evil.” I also chose specific images for each character to have a good mix of physical appearances including hair color, facial hair, characters holding wands, or characters wearing hats, ties, or glasses.

After creating my character list and finding suitable images for each on Google, I formatted them to 1 1/8 x 1 3/8 inches (the size required by my game’s pieces), then added the character’s name to each. I used Adobe Illustrator, but Paint or Word could also achieve the same result. I printed out 2 sets on card-stock weighted paper -one for the blue side and one for the red side. I made a 3rd set to stand in as the character cards that you draw. Randomly place the characters in the window slots and voila! Quick, easy, fun project that’ll give new life to your Guess Who board game…plus your game is now a great way to teach the young ones in your life about the important things *wink.
